Welcome to Heirloom Inspired Art & Miniature Portraits  Online.
Ruth's mission is to inspire a renewed interest in the historic tradition of portrait miniatures. She completes works on a commission basis. Her unique traveling  gallery tells her own family genealogy and teaches the history of many people of early Pennsylvania as well.

Selected by jury for national listing of traditional artisans.

Drawing on techniques and style of Eighteenth and Nineteenth Century works, she uses submitted photographs, engravings, or prints as image reference.
Portrait works have been commissioned by members of organizations such as The Society of the Cincinnati and Daughters of the American Revolution, plus many local Pennsylvania Historical sites.
Col. D. Kemper, 1749 to 1847 - Continental Army Officer
Permission from Private Collection
Completed works include mementos for families of World War I, World War II, and Korean War veterans, as well as pieces for private collections. A portrait timeline featuring five generations of the artist's own family shows visitors to her exhibits how the tradition of miniatures can be displayed and enjoyed today.
